Loving intensely in a relationship - is it healthy?

I often get asked questions surrounding the nature of loving your dysfunctional ex. Is it right to love someone so intensely as I did my BPD ex? Will I love like that again? It's often a passionate, enmeshed and all consuming relationship, dating someone with BPD, and it often means that life isn't the same again, once the relationship breaks down and ends. Once you've experienced love in an intense, dysfunctional relationship, it can be hard to go back to a more stable relationship going forward.
